Kitchen Poetry 3

It was so cold at lunchtime today that I decided to have eggs. Yes, I put these back in the fridge for someone else to use! I haven't inherited my Mum's skills in knowing how to wash them.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I would assume that you have chickens!

No, no chickens. We just live in the country. If I do get some, I think I should learn Mum's cleaning secret, which I thought was bi-carb or baking soda.

Mmmm. Fresh eggs. Lovely. As far as I am concerned, the grass makes the pictures look even better.

I was my eggs (a lot of them look like yours) with just plain water. I take a nylon scrubbie and a paper towel. I wipe the gunk off and wipe / dry it with the paper towel. No need for soda or anything. Never had any problem with that.

I cannot believe that you received those eggs in that condition though. I would never give or sell my eggs until they are clean!

Nipper loves eggs and is always in the fridge trying to get at them - unfortunately manages this and breaks rather a lot!
