Hello Linda

I've printed the Lamb recipe out and will try it one night this week. Looks yummy and easy.

I'm sorry you're facing worry about your husbands employment. The global situation is affecting all of us in some way.
Fingers crossed for a good outcome.

We have a Ford dealership and just yesterday, one of our very good clients was telling 'A' that their business had lost a huge supplier of their components from the US. The company just pulled the pin on all Australian accounts. Basically they cannot produce the product that was making them their living. They will have to source product from elsewhere, to the detriment of their final product. They buy 2-3vehicles from us a year and this will affect us too.
Also at the moment, finance companies are recalling 'flooplan' contracts meaning that dealerships can no longer finance their new/used car stock. Our finance is secure at the moment, but what would happen if we couldn't finance our stock? No cars to look at, no sales. We are keeping our stock numbers lean (maybe 12 new, instead of 25)just incase something happens.
We employ 12 locals and have done for nearly 20 years - going down the gurgler is not an option.

Doom and gloom - it's not something I've had to deal with but I guess we will get through it and I am sure you will too. At our age, I think it might be nice to go back to a simple life like our parents/grandparents.

You are making a start and I wish you and your family well.

Cheers - Joolz

I think my husband told me about the parts, because he worked in an electronics manufacturing place a little while before going back to his original line of work. It is amazing to be facing this sort of thing again. We could relate to the car parts thing.

They used to call it globilisation. Now it is something else I suppose. Our sitatuation, not sure why the government acts like private industry if that is what they are doing.
