Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather in my neck of the woods:

a bit milder today, the birds were singing last night

One of my simple pleasures:
Scones, homemade jam & whipped cream, just one half topped with the others

On my bedside table:
Anne from Avonlea, for the time being

On my TV:
Supersize vs Superskinny
Lush House

On the menu for tonight:
Fettucine with Italian Sausages

On my To Do list:
Washing clothes for a trip

New Recipe I tried last week:
Warm Sausages & Potato Salad we enjoyed it

In the craft basket:
My daughter still has a hem and top stitching on a zip

Looking forward to:
seeing my son's flat

Homemaking Tip for this week:
Put scones on a teatowel halved on a plate to keep them warm while you serve them

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
Had to share this! at mrsnesbitt's place and an explanation of the song meaning here
Bread for the Journey at Mennonite girls can cook

Favorite photo from last week:
not many photos have been taken

Lesson learned the past few days:
To listen to what the kids say to you. I used to but for some reason I don't get quite as involved.

On my Prayer List:
A young man starting work today

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Dealing with temptation
Distracted Christian Mothers (any thoughts about the picture?)

This meme is from Sandra's blog.
