Hi Linda,

I think this is going to be the best Sky Watch Friday yet. The things I have seen are very encouraging and the photography is spot on.

I really admire your photography skills and your critical eye for composition, lighting and texture.

I love the way the haze flattens the distant landscape into a watercolor painting. You have quite a view.

Great location. Do you live near the area? I love this picture for sure!

My SWF photo is posted HERE.

It is well known that we Portuguese once sailed the seven seas searching for new lands, wealth and adventures.
We were brave in those days and gave the world new worlds!

Luckily I don’t have to sail the big oceans on a small ship to sea the wonders of our world …
No Sir, I just need to check with Mr. Tom, the finest host there is, for a trip around the world with SKY WATCH TOURS and with a click here, a click there I am quickly in the USA, England, Brazil, Italy, China, Australia, Finland … well, everywhere.

And on each stop I come to see a little marvel of our world under a great sky!
Hope you can come and see my piece of the sky at lenses & visions
Perfect entry for skywatch… all I can say is that “you’ll be the sun in somebody else’s sky”…LoL! Mine’s up too hope you can drop by…

Thanks Tom.

I must say, when we see the snow and realise it is clear, we think we are just around the corner. We are usually on our way home to make tea. Then by the time we get there, the light has faded. So it is a thrill when you can see the snow clearly.

We had visitors on the weekend, wanted to take them to see the snow, but it was foggy.

Hello Linda, what a wonderful happenstance. Where are you - down near Cooma somewheres. You have lots of lovely images on your blog and I have only read one of your sea/tree change stories as yet. Have to add you to my favourites.

What a pretty place you've captured there, and so much greener than your header!

The red in the side of the road is a native grass that grows here, but not in my hometown. I am delighted to have a small piece in my nature strip. It did make it look dry this year, but I remember one year being delighted to look at it along the sides of the roads in New South Wales. One day I saw parrots feeding on it on the higher ground.

Thanks julie, a bit further south.
