Happy Homemaker Monday

hhm

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Sunny and 18 oC, which sounds only slightly warm, but it is nice.

One of my simple pleasures:
Lying on the garden seat in the garden which I did yesterday

On my bedside table:
I will have to choose one from a library stack I have

On my TV:
Super Nanny UK
Australian Idol

On the menu for tonight:
Sausage Casserole, there is an issue with the cheese I have to straighten out

On my To Do list:
I have done a couple of jobs today, one that was a long standing problem. I need to keep going like to make a final decision on a paint colour, so it is ready to go if I need it. I saw a similar color in the doctor's waiting room today

New Recipe I tried last week:
Caramel Nut Popcorn from the packet of Riviana popcorn

In the craft basket:
Nothing

Looking forward to:
Finally having my daughter's case packed for her trip, someone mentioned officially how close it is now

Homemaking Tip for this week:
Try something homemade made with popcorn at least once (those in the US probably all have done this)

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
I'm The Amish Girl Who Loves You
Are you free to tell the truth?
Not Every Day
Spiritual Warfare in Schools
and all those wonderful posts posted on Friday night and Saturday that I haven't read yet

Favorite photo from last week:

Sweet Baharat, Apple & Walnut Muffins (the ones we forgot to put the walnut/brown sugar & spice mix on top of)

Lesson learned the past few days:
Read the recipe properly (I usually do though)

On my Prayer List:
my step-Dad who lost something dear to him

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Exodus 20:3 (pdf warning)

Good Morning, Linda! I have a few minutes before I need to leave for work at the middle school, so I'm reading friends' blog entries.

Those muffins look delicious, even without the topping!

Last night at the dinner table, our 21-year old daughter, the one who is an art major in college and will be done with her studies soon, told us that she hopes to spend a year in Australia after she graduates! Isn't it a small world after all?

Well, I better get ready now. Time is whizzing by this morning. Hope you have a lovely day. :)
Ahh an Aussie Blogger, not many around, I am an Aussie living State Side and found you on the lovely sandras blog.
