Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Grey, everything is grey. Too much rain to go out and collect wood. We are buying some later on in the week.

Things that make me happy:
Warmth and food!

Book I am reading:
I just finished Linda Nichols first novel Handyman. What an amazing book. Lots of insights into people's behaviour. It is a contemporary novel that is suitable for people who usually read historical novels

What I am enjoying on TV:
Nothing that I can remember

On the menu for dinner:
Thai Sweet Potato Soup or left-overs

On my To Do list:
I don't feel like doing anything. I have been very worried about my son's accommodation. I had some good news today, just have to follow it through now

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
Vegetable Macaroni Cheese

In the craft basket:
Maybe put a tuck in my jeans. I am disappointed I didn't buy smaller ones. I think I was put off by the size, it sounded too small!

Looking forward to this week:
I was looking forward to going to my hometown but there is flood water all around it. My husband thought it wasn't worth the risks. It is just as well as my budget after surgery wasn't as clearly thought out as I thought it was

Tips and tricks:
If you are considering having one of your children become a paperboy/girl I thought of something that may help a few weeks ago. Out of my five children, the two who did/do a paper run read the paper!

My favourite blog post this week:
Loving Me Lounge a great pic of those lovely old pictures and frames your Grandma may have had
A post about Christian divorce rates and some encouragement

Blog Hopping (a new discovered blog you would like to share with the readers):
If you haven't visited The Network pop over there

No words needed: it doesn't show all the rain we have had, but recent photo

Lesson learned the past few days:
Check and double check budgets

On my mind:
Organising money and stretching and not forgetting things, again!

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
I want to watch a video Joyce posted

This meme is from Sandra's blog.

That picture is so beautiful!
Glad you're surviving all the rain - we've had tonnes as well, but I think you guys have had more down there.
That Thai sweet potato soup sounds just delicious - I hope you enjoyed it!
Have a good rest of your week
Renata:)

Hi Linda,
Finally I am stopping by to visit your blog. You know how busy things can get. Well, I requested Handyman from our library and am looking forward to reading it! It looks like a fun, enjoyable read. Thanks for the recommendation. See you on Facebook. :P

Renata I had the leftovers for lunch today, I can't say it is one of my favourites, but it is OK.
