Simply Kind Tuesdays
"Life is mostly froth and bubble,
Two things stand like stone,
Kindness in another's trouble,
Courage in your own." ~Adam Lindsay Gordon

What a lovely quote.
It reminds me of a quote "there but for the grace of God go I".
Who knows where I first heard all these quotes, but I am glad I know them.
The meaning according to Wiki is: "from a mid-sixteenth-century statement by John Bradford, "There but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford", in reference to a group of prisoners being led to be execution", nice. (not.)
"A recognition that others' misfortune could be one's own, if it weren't for the blessing/kindness/luck bestowed by fate or the Divine."
I suppose courage in your own trouble results in kindness to other while you are being courageous. Someone suggested Dr. Seuss as a source of inspiration in courage, I Had Trouble Getting to Solla Sollew.
"There's a faraway land,
So the stories all tell
Somewhere beyond the horizon
If we can find it
Then all will be well
Troubles there are few,
Someday we'll go to
Solla Sollew, Solla Sollew
Solla Sollew, Solla Sollew
They say breezes are warm
There and people are kind
Maybe it's something
Like heaven
I close my eyes
And I see in my mind
Skies of bluest blue
And I'm sure it's true
Solla Sollew, Solla Sollew
Solla Sollew, Solla Sollew
I've had so much trouble
Finding my way there
When I get close,
It disappears
If I can get there,
I'm gonna stay there
If it takes me miles,
If it takes me years
High on a mountain
Or lost on the sea
Sooner or later
I'll find it,
I have a picture
Of how it will be
On the day I do,
Troubles will be through
But I'll be home with you
Solla Sollew, Solla Sollew
Solla Sollew, Solla Sollew
Solla Sollew, Solla Sollew
Solla Sollew, Solla Sollew
Solla Sollew, Solla Sollew
Solla Sollew, Solla Sollew
Solla Sollew"

Wow, I didn't know such things existed, songs about Dr. Seuss, by Donny Osmond! I am writing a little about this, attitudes in places where we live, in a post called Taste and See, Reflections of 2008. Apparently the video is of a game called Kingdom of Hearts for Playstation and includes Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Thanks for hosting Claudia, I have learnt a lot today!
Did you know Donny Osmond sings "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" on the movie Mulan? No wonder I like it!
