Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY Friday...

Outside my window... a greyish day

I am thinking... how great I can listen to a new John Mellencamp song

I am thankful for... I had something I left out of last week's thankful list that happened today, now not sure what it was!

From the kitchen... Philadelphia cream cheese mixed with a tuna tempter, one of the chili ones, perhaps with sundried tomato?

I am wearing... a very heavy jacket, the house is colder than outside I think

I am creating... blog posts to last until I can do some more

I am going... nowhere for six days I think, except to school again on Monday

I am reading... just finished a fantastic series by Lauraine Snelling about the civil war called A Secret Refuge.

I am hoping... my husband gets all the work he wants done to prepare for next week at work again

I am hearing... my husband vaccuming up the paint dust he sanded off the ceiling

Around the house... our two newly planted trees, they look familiar and conforting

One of my favorite things... country music

A few plans for the rest of the week: shopping and bills, I am actually looking forward to it coming around again so more can be paid so I don't have to keep track of them and go back to the usual bills

Here is picture thought I am sharing... one of the blessings around here, a friendly kookaburra

Peggy won't be back until September! However we are still able to do daybooks and link back to her blog.

Hi Linda, new baby is having a nap and I'm doing a little blog catch up so thought I'd pop in and say hello - we are having a grey day here too!

Hi, Linda,
Just checking in on your blog...
I had no idea a kookaburra was such a large bird! That was fun to see!
