Christmas Has Been & Gone...




and so it seems have the Christmas beetles. I backed the car out one day for the kids to skate (ripstick & powerwing) in the drive and thought the corellas had been back again. The things on the ground turned out to be dead beetles instead. I love Christmas beetles, have meant to get one to look at.

Oh you've made me homesick. I remember Christmas beetles and how they use to be everywhere - even in church on hot nights. And then how they would scrunch underfoot when they were dead. Haven't seen one in years and years. When you look at one close up you'll have to share so that this ex-pat can have a taste of home again.

They must die of after christmas They only turn up about november and then disappear when christmas is over. I think everyone loves them because of the colour on them (like christmas baubles).
