Simple Joys Saturday
This week Jan shared with us this scripture, I think it is beautiful.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” Romans 15:13."
I was lying in bed the night before last, thinking how again I was not organised for Thankful Thursday, and how I miss telling of all the nice things that happen to me, even though there are lots of challenges coming my way seemingly constantly, though I am very comfortable as well. Hard to explain isn't it?
So yesterday I saw the Simple Joys Saturday badge and thought I would try to remember them. The one that stuck out for me was some King Parrots flying over our house a few days ago. They are not a bird that is usually here. There are more birds you would see in Kinglake or Flowerdale near Melbourne. However, there is a King Parrot creek on the road to Holbrook which is very exciting for a person who used to live in Flowerdale.
Today Friday my car is going to the workshop, for the third time. I am so blessed, that yet again the car chose (well not really) to break down just before we did our tax return.
Even though we may not be able to secure them, I have found both a house to rent for my son, and a cheap lawnmower for my husband, it is always nice to think there are nice things to be had out there to solve a problem, quite hard problems in this case.
Today my daughter quietly was working away in the kitchen and then they presented me with two penguin shaped waffles. It was very welcome as I was quite cold this afternoon. Tonight will be a warm night so that will be nice, about 10° warmer than last night from memory.
I have been enjoying having my son home for his uni break. He got home just before tea and has been chattering away. He helped my husband with some heavy lifting which is fantastic.
We have a plan in place for our newer house, and I am very happy with it. We just have to work steadily towards it now. I will need to have my thinking cap on and use all the skills have have learnt from my tight budget, and the discipline to see it finished in time.
So I hoping for things to fall into place again, as I have been mostly all this year, all related to the same sorts of issues. I have had some wonderful things happen so far.

Yes I understand so well about the nice things and challenges too.
And the proverb about the woman..... her price is far above rubies... comes to mind, how you so wonderfully run your home and family.
Hugs, Jan
Blessings to you!

It sounds as if you are hard working and innovative with the house situation, seeking to make the most of finances. I hope it all goes as planned!
Blessings to you!
